LAUREN‘S LIGHT is committed to building a future where girls learn, live, and compete in a pro-girl world. A world where they can confidently embrace their power, nurture their authenticity, and celebrate their success. A world where they LEAVE NO DOUBT about who they are and what they can accomplish.

PILLARS

BE BOLD

BE BOUNDLESS

BE BOUNDLESS

Be passionate; try new things. Be willing to go where you’ve never been before, try what you’ve never tried, and trust what you’ve never trusted. Don’t fear failure. Learn from it and grow.

BE BOUNDLESS

BE BOUNDLESS

BE BOUNDLESS

Once we believe in ourselves, the future is our canvas. So we keep moving forward; we open new doors. Our curiosity, wonder, and delight - lead us down new paths with new adventures.

BE BEAUTIFUL

BE BOUNDLESS

BE BEAUTIFUL

Beauty isn’t the color of your hair or the clothes you wear. True beauty is a light that comes from your heart. A confidence, an authenticity that does more than attracts; it captivates.

OUTCOMES

AWARENESS

ENCOURAGEMENT

ENCOURAGEMENT

Knowing yourself means respecting your strengths and weaknesses, passions and fears, desires and dreams, thoughts and feelings, likes and dislikes, tolerances and limitations. Knowing yourself allows you to harness your true power. During guided sessions, girls will learn more about themselves than they ever thought possible.

ENCOURAGEMENT

ENCOURAGEMENT

ENCOURAGEMENT

Raising healthy and independent teens means encouraging them to explore interests and activities that take them outside of their comfort zone. Allowing them to develop positive self-esteem by encouraging them to try new things, take healthy risks, and problem-solve in an environment where success and failure are rewarded.

ENJOYMENT

ENCOURAGEMENT

ENJOYMENT

Having fun helps you get and stay creative. It improves relationships at home and in life. Having fun makes us smarter, reduces stress, and enriches our lives. Engaging in activities, we enjoy helps us find purpose.

LAUREN'S STORY

A story not yet finished.

To everyone that knew her, Lauren was a bright light, a passionate advocate, a fierce competitor, and a kind and genuine friend with a wicked sense of humor. On May 11, 2023, Lauren earned her associate degree from Brookdale Community College as a member of the Early College Academy at Saint John Vianney High School. An hour later, on her way to meet her parents for a celebratory lunch, Lauren was in a tragic car accident that took her life one day before prom and just weeks before she was set to graduate from high school.

Lauren excelled in academics and sports and was active in her community. In high school, Lauren was a member of the National Honor Society, class president, class secretary, and a four-year Varsity soccer player, co-captain, and assistant coach. In addition, Lauren played club soccer at Players Development Academy, where her team won the ECNL National Championship and was a finalist at the International Champions Cup.

In her community, Lauren was an active member of Girl Scouts of America, serving on the CEO Advisory Board and as a Council Delegate for the Sandy Hook Region. Lauren also earned her Bronze and Silver Awards and was awarded her Gold Award posthumously. In addition, she was on U.S. Representative Frank Pallone Jr’s Youth Advisory Council, working on policy agendas for immigration and homelessness, and was an active volunteer for the Raine Foundation.

This fall, Lauren was getting ready to start a new chapter in life. She was accepted to Syracuse University and planned on studying political science and public policy at the renowned Maxwell School.

Lauren’s story does not end here.
