B3FEST & LAUREN'S CLOSET
Lauren's Light is excited to announce two new programs for young women in our community.
B3FEST brings the community together for a weekend of events dedicated to the young women in our community. The weekend begins with a BACKYARD BBQ, complete with burgers, dogs, and the ultimate party band, The Counterfeiters. The weekend continues with a 5K COLOR RUN and ends with our first annual TEEN EXPO. Join Lauren's Light as we bring together the community's very best in beauty, education, entertainment, fashion, food, health & wellness, and more. This one-of-a-kind event, developed by and for young women, will be the summer kick-off event we all need.
LAUREN’S CLOSET is a pop-up thrift store with the latest fashions. Here, the currency isn’t cash but the valuable currency of volunteer hours. Girls can shop guilt-free while giving back to the community and fostering an exchange of goods and services driven by collective participation. We're looking for volunteers to help with planning, logistics, and sales.

Do you have a trade, skill or passion that you would like to share with our middle- and high-school members? If so, you might consider being a MENTOR. Mentors teach classes, guide workshops, supervise trips, and coach games. Mentors share their interests with young members that are exploring their interests. Sessions are forming now, so reach out today!

Not quite ready to be mentor? No problem, our committee members are integral to keeping Lauren’s Light shining bright. Whether you choose to volunteer time at our Casino Night or Color Run or assist with one of our many membership sessions, every hour you donate helps one more young woman discover and achieve her goals. Service hours available.

Our event volunteers are what keep everything going smoothly. From set-up to break-down and everything in between, our volunteers have it under control. If your schedule is chaotic and ever-changing, but you still want to be involved, these two-three hour timeslots are your best bet. It's as easy as keeping an eye out on our volunteer page or on social media as to what volunteer opportunities are posted. When you see one you like sign up... that's it.
